Legislative district 23 in the northeast Phoenix metro area and contains Scottsdale and Fountain Hills. It is 1,215.87 square miles, much of the area is in the Tonto National Forest. The district is 93.50 percent urban covering 8.90 percent of its land area and 6.50 percent rural covering 91.10 percent of its land area. Part of the Salt River Reservation is represented in LD 23.
